Meet Dr. Edward Jutkowitz


Periodontist, Dr. Edward I. Jutkowitz, received a degree in BioMedical Engineering from from Northwestern University in 1981. In 1985, he received a D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a General Practice Residency in 1986 at Downstate/Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. The residency focused on oral surgery, trauma, and medical care of patients. His specialty training in Periodontics was done at Columbia University and he received his specialty certification in 1988.

He participated in the first Brannemark US Course introducing modern day dental implants in April 1988. Dr. Jutkowitz has continued to pursue his continuing education and has participated in symposiums throughout the world.

Dr. Jutkowitz taught at Columbia University, North Shore University Hospital, and Tel Hashomer Hospital in Israel. He continues to lecture to dentists on the most current advances and technology in Periodontics and implant dentistry.

Dr. Jutkowitz's specific interests lie in regeneration and rehabilitation of the oral cavity, treating the most complicated cases including aesthetic and functional challenges is Dr. Jutkowitz's passion. Treatment focuses on preserving and enhancing aesthetics. Sameday extraction and implant placement, Dr. Jutkowitz's preferred method of treatment. He is actively involved with other clinicians (including physicians) in the total care of the patient.
